ProjectWise Integration Module for Revit 2021 Now Available

ProjectWise Integration Module for Revit 2021.1 is now available for download:

  • Version:
  • ProjectWise Design Integration Explorer

The ProjectWise Integration Module for Revit download contains the installation package needed to integrate Revit 2021.1 with ProjectWise Explorer.

  • No additional license beyond ProjectWise Explorer is required.
  • The add-in is found under ProjectWise Explorer on Software Downloads
  • Does this version support Revit 2021.1.2 ?

Using ProjectWise Explorer, and Revit Integration Module

We can install the integration module successfully on systems with Revit 2021.1.1, however if Revit 2021.1.2 is installed then the integration installer fails with the error window:

"Autodesk Revit 2021 is required to install ProjectWise Integration for Autodesk Revit 2021".

Clicking the OK button then displays the message "Setup Wizard Completed. The Wizard was interrupted before ProjectWise Integration for Autodesk Revit 2021 could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation another time, please run setup again."

We then tried ProjectWise Explorer (which includes the Revit 2021 integration module), but installation fails when it gets to the Revit 2021 integration installation part ("Failed to install ProjectWise Integration for Autodesk Revit 2021...Fatal Error during installation).

  • Hello Martin,

Is there any solution available for the issue? I am having the same issue for a user.

  • Hi, unfortunately not.

We now have systems updated to Revit 2021.1.5 and ProjectWise Explorer The ProjectWise integration still fails to detect revit/install (even if we extract the integration msi installer from the main projectwise explorer package and run it separately).

The only (unsupported way) is to un-install Revit -> install Revit 2021 original release or the first update -> Install P/W integration (the Bentley installer will detect this version and proceed) -> apply the latest Revit 2021 updates to bring it back to 2021.1.5

NOTE: that is not a supported method so beware.
