Can I get the XYZ toolbox in Navigator? Or how do I get a Z level annotation?

I guess it's not possible, because XYZ toolbox is not included in Navigator. I assume it's because this toolbox is "content editing tool" while Navigator is the review tool.

If you mean "How to create annotation with Z value", I don't know. Maybe VBA macro can help. But my knowledge of Navigator features are limitations are limited, I am more "MicroStation guy" ;-)

Hi Jan many thanks for your reply.

I’m from a BIM modelling background with AECOsim and now I’m doing BIM coordination. One of my tasks is to seat with the design team and go through the federated BIM models and check them in detail.The nature of this checks require a lot of Levels to inquire and if discrepancy’s are found then it needs to be documented. We are doing this from an i.dgn model and the idea is to convince the design team to use Navigator for reviewing the model.

So in the first review meeting I decide to use Navigator to maybe showcase its potential. But unfortunately in the middle of the meeting I just gave up and switched to AECOsim for reviewing this model. There was to many wrong levels that needed to be highlighted, obtained and annotated in sections from the model.

Is Navigator capable of doing all that? Don’t think so… also when it can does it take the same effort and does it give you the same output and assurance, I don’t believe so…

Maybe I’m just new to the reviewing side and I’m missing something, but this just made harder for me to recommend Navigator as a review software that will be up for all reviewing tasks. Navigator just feels like it’s not in pair with the demands of the industry.
