I'm having a problem with the clash detection where it highlights there is a clash but it is clearly visible that the 2 elements do not meet. Is this a setting I can change or is it in fact a clash?
Make sure you do not have the Self Check option toggled, and then also validate that to have the clearance set to 0. Anything larger than 0 will then find any issues that fall within that tolerance.
i am using open buildings designer 'clash detection' i have the 3 standard rules checked:
suppress clashes between elements at a connect point
suppress clashes between elements at connect points
suppress clashes between elements which have connect points on the same line
(all these have a tolerance of 3mm)
i therefor made the soft clearance 3mm
the design file is set to MU (meters/millimeters)
when i the file was processed with self check checked on both A & B files it came up with 5924, on a re-run with nothing changed it resulted in 6124
i later ran it again with self check not ticked and it increased again.
running this will pick up clashes but it also picks up every touching element even if they are less than 1mm apart

i re-ran the same clash check but this time with soft clearance set to 0, now down to 1951 clashes. still a lot of elements touching, so still igonring the rules
