Navigator tips for showing 3D models

We use Bentley Navigator 2004 SR1 (V. 08.06.01.18) (dont if it's the same as ProjectWise Navigator) for displaying and creating 3D models. But the pc used for it seems to have some trouble with the models. We are looking for a way to make a walk through the model run more smoothly.
Currently the pc is fit with an Intel Quad 6600 processor, 4 GB ram and an Nvidia Quadro FX 1700 videocard. It runs Windows XP 32-bit.

Are there settings we can switch to make a walkthrough run more smoothly? And is this setup for pc even sufficient?

      Hi Thiery,

We use Nav 2004 as well on very large plant models and we are able to Nav very large models on average laptops with the right settings.  (We have tried using Projectwise Navigator and the same models are impossible to fly through so we have stuck with using Nav 2004) The thing to play with is the Display options level of detail.  I have attached a shot of our settings but these could be different on yours depending on your working units you are using.

      Hope this helps.
