ProjectWise Navigator V8i - Animating Element Transparency within a Scheduled Simulation

I have created a 4D schedule simulation using ProjectWise Navigator V8i and would like all chosen elements to fade into view as the simulation progresses through the schedule. I have created particular named groups of elements and linked them to start date/time and finish date/time tasks. The start transparency of the named group is set to 100% transparency and the finish transparency to be 0% for each related task. I assumed that as time progressed through the related tasks in the schedule the elements would fade into view, however after the task linked to the named group completes the elements pop into view, they do not fade in at all.

Could anyone shed some light on this one for me please? The only other way i can think of doing this would be to stager the tasks to have multiple start and finsh transparency date/times, however that would be lenghty for the size of model i have!

Carl,

The schedule simulation does not animate the morphing between the start and end points. I have filed a Change Request (286554) for our Product Management team to consider for future enhancements.

Paul,

Thanks for your reply much appreciated. Do you know of a way to do it through the animation? At present i can animate transparency to morph elements into view however they suddenly morph out of view at the end of the task? Very strange logic.

You can animate this in a couple of ways including having levels or selection sets turn on and off or fade in. I believe the bugs that were in V8i have been fixed in the latest version. I've used this method myself to show staging on small models.

Thank you both for your input. Bear going back to my original post, is it now possible in the latest version of Projectwise Navigator V8i to show elements fading in through Schedule Simulation Tasks rather than animation?
