"Cannot locate default SHX font(s) (defined as 'msdefault')" error from ProjectWise

Yesterday this issue began. Opening files from projectwise leads to this error:

"Cannot locate default SHX font(s) (defined as 'msdefault'). Please ensure that one can be found in MS_FONTPATH or MS_DWGFONTPATH, or modify the font configuration file to specify a different default. Program must now exit!"

Looking at the other resources, I have made sure that the configuration variables "MS_FONTPATH" and "MS_DWGFONTPATH" both point to:

    "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\WorkSpace\System\Fonts"

and the "msdefault.shx" is in that folder. Any ideas why this is happening? Thank you!

The issue was resolved by purging all the workspace copies and reopening a file, causing PW to search for all applicable style files.
