Setting up the Apache Chainsaw viewer for viewing Projectwise Orchestration Framework Logs

    Hi,

We are using Projectwise V8i Select Series 3. I am attempting to setup Apache Chainsaw Viewer to view the Orchestration logs by following the Projectwise Orchestration Framework V8i Logging Technote. I believe I have set up everything correctly except the document refers to a "LoggingServiceChainsaw.xml" file that should be in c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\bentley\logs" I have searched the server and it is nowhere to be found.

Am I missing something or is it just missing from our installation and if so any ideas where I can get it from.

    Thanks in advance

    Peter

Is there a reason you are using the chainsaw viewer?  I've reviewed hundreds of OF logs and I have never used this.  I always just review the loggingservice.log files here on a server 2008:  C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Logs

The logs for Orchestration Frame work should be on the server where it is installed.  We are now using 2008 as well but that does seem correct when we had Server 2003.  The Orchestration Framework should set up the logs directory, but the .log file goes there. not the .XML. You should find the ???.log.xml files either in the ProjectWise directory or in the Orchestration Framework directory.
