    ProjectWise Indexing files.

    Hi.

    We have moved the ProjectWise Indexing files form the standard c-drive to a d-drive with much more storage. Used some of the info posted here. Worked like a charm.

    But we are again reaching the storage limit of about 100GB. We save all ProjectWise indexing files here 'D:\storage\Indexing'. Here we find two subfolders 'Data' and 'Temp'.

    The 'Data ' folder is obviously not to be deleted, but the 'Temp' folder, which is about 75GB of data. Can this folder be deleted, or is it a vital part of the Indexing?

    I do not seem to find any info about this.

      Hi Christian,

      The temp directory is where the files are temporarily stored while it is being processed.  If all is working correctly, it should delete from this location when its complete, so it could be a sign something isn't working correctly.  Depending on the version of ProjectWise you are running, there were fixes specific to the temp directory in newer versions.

      But as far as cleaning up how it is now, the answer is yes, you can delete the files.  you might want to first stop the Microsoft Indexing service and the ProjectWise Orchestration Framework service to ensure none are currently being processed.

      Keep an eye on the directory over time and see if files are clearing out ok, if it starts backing up, let us know and we can see if there is a larger problem.

      Hi Molly.

      Thanks a lot for you reply.

      I have now deleted all files in the Temp folder, no problem.
      Files are getting back again, but as you mention it the version of the Integration Server could be the issue. We are currently using 8.11.09.91. An upgrade is on its way.
