    AutoCAD and ProjectWise and Raster Intergration

    I have a user that is using AutoCAD and ProjectWise.  He wants to have it where his raster images are being checked in and out when he opens and closes his DWG file.  I gave him the following information.  He wants to know if he needs an AutoCAD integration module installed that will allow AutoCAD and ProjectWise to work together.

    I told him that needed to edit the mcm.user.cfg file in the ProjectWise folder.  There is a section about 3/4 of the way down that is for raster check-in/out.  You can set these how you want them to be defined.  You also need to delete the # that's in front of the variable name so it will be read.

    Try changing the following lines.

    Original lines:

    #PW_RASTER_CHECKINOPT = -1

    #PW_RASTER_CHECKOUTOPT = -1

    Change to: (Remove # and change from -1 to 1)

    PW_RASTER_CHECKINOPT = 1

    PW_RASTER_CHECKOUTOPT = 1

    You will also need to make sure you run scanref to associate the raster images to the DGN file.

      Yes, we do have integration modules for AutoCAD 2014 and 2015.  What version of ProjectWise does the user have installed on his machine?  For a list of integrated applications that are supported for each version of ProjectWise please see http://communities.bentley.com/products/projectwise/content_management/m/mediagallery/177368

      We're currentley having the same issue, with ProjectWise 590, AutoCAD 2015 and we have the intergration module installed.

      We have to manually check out the raster image out in the ProjectWise session file manager (right-click check out) and manually check it in once the modifications are done.

      The Save image window does appear at the end when modifications has been made to the raster image. But unless I manually check the image in it will not automate the check in as it would with Microstation.

      Did you edit the mcm.user.cfg in the ProjectWise\bin folder.

      PW_RASTER_CHECKINOPT = 1

      PW_RASTER_CHECKOUTOPT = 1

      If that does not work please let me know and we'll have a remote session and figure out what is going on. Thank you!
