    lag at remote locations

    Hello,

Is it common for the remote locations to be 5 times slower than the office where the main server is?

I mean... Copy Out takes five times longer.

I guess the difference, if any should be up to 3 times slower - yes?

      Hi KBZA-bigen

lag can be caused really by multiple issues. Latency, router, switch, throttling bandwidth, etc...
Now does this remote location have a caching server? do you have DFT enabled where only the changes are updated?
A simple thing to do would be to just do a latency test on your client machine minimum time in ms. I've seen where things start to cause slow times around 300ms for ProjectWise file transfer. You primarily want latency under 150ms.
these are just some of the many things that will need to be checked. My suggestion would be to create a SR over the web so support can work with you in resolving the issue and providing the best solution.

      Kind Regards,
      Ranveer

Thanks for providing this info, I will pass it on to our I T team. I agree with you - our I T team need to issue an SR with Bentley to get this resolved.

I am still curious though, when all is setup correctly, the time it takes to copy out a document should be the same at all locations - all locations within the same country - correct?
