User cannot drag & Drop Files into PW

I have a user working with another companies PW. When the rest of us use PW with different clients, we can drag and drop to import files into PW. He is running Ss4, like the rest of us and can right click to create a new file, one at a time, but if he tries the Drag and Drop method, the NO icon displays and it will not allow it. The client logged in as him on their end and were able to drag and drop as him on their network, so they are telling us that the problem is on our side.

Is there some hidden setting I need to toggle on the client end for this to work?

Got it fixed, it was a windows 7 problem. I went to control panel/change user account control settings/ and set it to never notify me when I make changes to windows settings. (which isn't recommended)…

      Hi CADDCOP,

Can the user right click on ProjectWise Explorer and run as a administrator and they try to drag and drop?
Let me know if that works or not.

      Thanks,

      Ranveer

I will try this with him the next time I'm in that office. Some of our PC's require a password to run as administrator and giving it out kind of defeats the purpose of requiring it in the first place.

Make sure the user had write access to the file on the network. We run into this ever now and again, the easiest is to make a copy of the file and then try to delete the original, if it won't delete, it won't drag into PW

The shortcut for PW is set to run as administrator. So that's not it.
As far as write access - where - in PW or on our network?
The user can use the New Document and import a local file to make a PW file, so I believe all access is available.

Is the error dialog anything other than "Cannot create document"?
