User cannot drag & Drop Files into PW

I have a user working with another companies PW. When the rest of us use PW with different clients, we can drag and drop to import files into PW. He is running Ss4, like the rest of us and can right click to create a new file, one at a time, but if he tries the Drag and Drop method, the NO icon displays and it will not allow it. The client logged in as him on their end and were able to drag and drop as him on their network, so they are telling us that the problem is on our side.

Is there some hidden setting I need to toggle on the client end for this to work?

Got it fixed, it was a windows 7 problem. I went to control panel/change user account control settings/ and set it to never notify me when I make changes to windows settings. (which isn't recommended)…

Any other suggestions? I have tried everything, and still no luck dragging and dropping. However I do not get the option to run as a administrator when opening projectwise, maybe because I am logged in as a administrator on my computer.

I am going to suggest on opening a SR with support. If you put a SR in please PM your number and I can take ownership of the issue.

I have the same issue.  Was there any resolution to this problem?

I am no longer at that firm, so I cannot add anything new or different. I'd start a new topic as this one is pretty old.

We had the same problem, the solution was..

"This can happen if you start one of the applications as an admin user. This can be checked on the compatibility tab of the properties of an *.exe"
