    Managed Workspace for ABD, Microstation and Navigator

    I have a managed workspace setup for ABD in Projectwise. This works fine with ABD. But  within Projectwise:

    1 - when I try to open an i.dgn imodel, Navigator (which I have associated with this file format) won't start. The same file however opens fine in ABD.

    2 - If I try to open any .dgn with Microstation, it won't work either.

    In both cases, the problem seems to be with a "%include" line in the project configuration block.

    this include statement points to a .cfg file in the company dataset, which path is defined in the previous block...

    The error message gives "...unable to generate managed workspace configuration... and then "unable to open macro" followed by the .cfg path... Why macro?

    I am totally puzzled by this since ABD opens without any problem... Help!

      Hello Chris, I have a couple questions. Did this managed workspace work previously with .dgn files? Could you run a msdebug and send me the logs? Thank you Raul Guerrero

      Hello Raul, I have since find the cure for this problem. Quite simple really. The managed workspace is tailored for Aecosim Building Designer and as such includes variables/paths that aren't recognized by either Navigator or Microstation plain jane. All I did in the end was include those variables in the local .cfg for those applications. Listed below. Works now.

      _TF_WORKSPACEROOT : ${_USTN_WORKSPACEROOT}
      TF_DATASETS : $(_TF_WORKSPACEROOT)BuildingDatasets/
      TF_DATASETEXTS : $(TF_DATASETS)DatasetExtensions/
      TFDIR : $(TF_DATASETS)$(TF_DATASETNAME)/
      IFC_DATASETNAME : IFC2x3_psets
      IFCDIR : $(TF_DATASETEXTS)$(IFC_DATASETNAME)/
      IFCDIR_PSD : $(IFCDIR)psd/
