    Inheritance granularity

    Hi All

I was aks to apply general rights for all design group that will be propagate from the root to all the way down to sub-project/folder

But for some folders locate down, i need to set specific rights.

    Exemple

    Draft - r/w/d

    Engineer - r

    Cad Cord - r/w/d

When i do that all the other group lost their inheritance rights (the green arrow glyph is dissapear)

Is there a way to set specific rights that will be propagate but change those rights locally to only one group whitout affecting the other groups?

Don't know if I'd call it a best practice but it is our internal policy, not hard coded in the program.

      Thank you kevin

I did not try as i just take over an exisitng Pwise deployment after the main admin left,...

But is the «...2 down from the top of the project ...» is hard code or is it just a best practice recommandation?

nope. once you assign any security all inheritance is removed. this is a big reason we don't allow changes more than 2 down from the top of the project folder.
