Windows Server 2012 R2 for SQL Server and Design Integration Server

Can someone please confirm whether Windows Server 2012 R2 (as opposed to just Windows Server 2012) is a supported operating system for use with both the SQL Server and the Design Integration Server?

    Many thanks.

      Hi Richard,

Windows Server 2012 R2 is not supported with ProjectWise Design Integration Server yet. Latest ProjectWise Design Integration Server release (10.0.0.20) is supported with these OS:

      Windows Server 2008 SP2, Standard/Enterprise Editions (64-bit)
      Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Standard/Enterprise Editions (64-bit)
      Windows Server 2012, Standard/Datacenter Editions (64-bit)

      AZ.

Could you please confirm if a server running Windows Server 2012r2 with SQL 2012 would be supported? The server would only be hosting Projectwise databases and no Projectwise software so should be okay?

Also when will Windows 2012 r2 be supported properly by Bentley? This has been available for over two years now and is now the server operating system of choice in most organisations. Surely as Connect has only just been released it should of been built to support current mainstream operating systems.

      Thanks.

      Hi,

It might work without any issues having only databases on Windows Server 2012r2. However this configuration haven't been tested and is not certified, so it means it's not supported.

Windows 2012 r2 should be supported in ProjectWise CONNECT edition release 2.
