Document Code does not properly show in Document Name

Question

ProjectWise Explorer V8i (SS4) 08.11.11.590 
 I created a Document Code with three attributes: TYPE, AREA, SERIALNUM (max 6 chars with leading zeros). 
 When I create a document with TYPE 'DWG', AREA 'ENG' and generate a serial number I get document code DWG-ENG-000001. 
 The document name that is assigned to the document is DWG-ENG-1. 
 How do I get the drawing name to reflect the document code correctly?

Probably you did not define the Serial Number attribute format string correctly. Try to go to PW Administrator and properties of Serial Number attribute, Editing tab and insert this Format String: %06d 
After that creating new document with the Advanced Wizard should produce the required result.
