SELECT statement to automatically add logged on employee's name into an Environment attribute

I am creating a new Environment with the following requirement on a couple attributes::

    1.  "Approved" attribute (check box)  that gets selected by an employee logged into ProjectWise Explorer.

    2.  "Approved by" attribute that gets automatically populated when the employee selects the "Approved" attribute check box (trigger).  The name populated would be the name of the employee who selected the "Approved" attribute check box.

We use Active Directory with ProjectWise.  Can a SELECT statement be created for this?

    Gail

Maybe something like this for the Update value for Approved by attribute, set to update whenever Approved attribute changes

      SELECT $USER.NAME$ FROM DUAL WHERE $EDIT#APPROVED$ = 1

(leave out FROM DUAL if you are on SQL server)

Please note that I post here on a voluntary basis and am not a Bentley employee.
