We are looking at Deliverables Management in a couple of our business areas.
One is process where we receive large numbers of PFD documents that we need to comment / approve / reject.
DM seems suited to this and we are doing some initial testing in conjunction with Bentley
One detail i need to bottom out is the mechanism for capturing comments on the documents, as an example a typical text based document might have a series of comments on it, 10 - 20 is not uncommon and each is potentially onerous.
As such it has been asked if each comment can be an individual, a separate record of some sort.
Appreciate this is vague but anyone using DM in this area I'd be interested in thoughts
Maybe you need intelligent process automation? Intelligent automation combines software-dependent control and regulation with big data analytics, enabling service providers to leverage deep network knowledge to leverage adaptive automation of their services and operations. More info - https://fluix.io/help/intelligent-process-automation. The working environment of service providers is becoming more complex. While Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) enable on-demand services in addition to other capabilities, existing network management and operational support systems (OSS) lack the scalability and flexibility that falls short of the requirements more dynamic networking technologies. Simple automation techniques (like writing custom scripts) are often used to reduce the number of manual tasks. However, vendors are looking for more robust automation capabilities to simplify operations and increase efficiency in a scalable manner. By leveraging software built for dynamic SDN / NFV environments and leveraging the latest advances in big data analytics and machine learning, network operators will be able to bring true intelligent automation from start to finish and, as a result, run their business more efficiently and smarterly.
