    Microstation will not open Project Wise dialog box to attached references

    Microstation will not open the Project Wise dialog box to attach references. Instead it only opens the windows browser.

    I'm running Version 10.0.16299 of Project wise explorer. I have loaded the AutoCAD integration module for 2018 (I'm not having the any problems with AutoCAD X-ref's through Project wise). This issue is only with Microstation.

      Hi Leah,

      Can you double check that version for PW Explorer by launching PW Explorer and choosing help>about.  Also, please include the MicroStation version in your reply as well.  Generally speaking, a quick fix to try is to run a repair on the MicroStation install and then run a repair on the PW Explorer install.

      Hi Phil,

      My version of Microstation is Micro Station Powerdraft V8i (SELECTseries 4) version 08.11.09.829

      My version of Project Wise is version 10.00.02.320 - commercial release.

      This morning I tried a fresh install of Project Wise with a the latest download from the Bentley website (Curiously only 32bit seems to be available and my machine is 64bit).

      I also ran a repair on my Microstation install.

      This did not fix the problem.

      I read this on another blog: 

      Steps to Resolve

      1. Launch ProjectWise explorer client in change mode(in control panel, select add remove programs right click on explorer)
      2. Choose modify
      3. Expand the i-Desktop integration node and make sure Microstation v8i is enabled

      When I chose 'modify' it says 'The system has been modified' and only gives me the 'finish' option.

      Hi, if the steps above did not resolve the issue, please submit a service ticket for further troubleshooting.  To submit a service ticket, go to connect.bentley.com and select the "new service ticket" tile.
