How can you Automate ProjectWise performance Benchmarking?

If you are managing ProjectWise, you likely field complaints [from time to time] from staff regarding the performance of ProjectWise.  You can use the benchmarking tool Bentley has released (if you can find it), or you can simply ask your users to copy out a standard file over and over and record the results in excel.

We took it a step further and used the ProjectWise API to build a benchmarking process into ProjectWise explorer so we have standard, continuous, automatic performance data for ProjectWise in every single one of our offices globally.  Now whenever we get a user complaint, they run an interactive menu command to interactively run the same benchmark and can compare the current performance to their location's normal performance.  Even better, if we make any infrastructure changes we can objectively measure if they had the desired performance impact.

Join us for the session this Monday (3/13/2018) at the ProjectWise LEARN Conference in Las Vegas from 1PM to 1:50 in the Union Square room where we'll cover the challenges of ProjectWise benchmarking, and share the details of our solution so you can take the same concept and implement in your organization.
