    HI ,

Is there a way to reset number of queued documents in documents processors [PW server/client 10.00.02.265] , I am refereeing to all of three processes,

We have around 3000 documents in queue and I think it not moving forward at all, I run test by dmsafpengine -test , it working well.

    Regards,
    Vivek

Open the Ochestration Framework Administrator and look at the monitors. You can right-click on a queue and restart it. restarting a queue will kick out the document it's currently processing and start with the next in the queue. I don't think there is an easy way to completely clear all items out of the queue (I vaguely remember doing this in the orchestration framework database directly in the original v8i version). I would open up a ticket with Bentley if you want to pursue this.

You might also check the timeouts on the queue. I have mine set to only attempt processing a file for 10 minutes and to only attempt once. This minimizes amount of time a single file can hang up a queue.

You can set the timeouts by right-clicking a queue, selecting properties then clicking the Process Management tab.

      Thanks Kevin,

I think this something I have on hand to update, I tried reducing timeout to 1 min to see some change ,

I am getting change on PID not on Queue size?? Any ides what is PID??

       And attached error on LoggingService.log

If you haven’t already you probably need to open a ticket with Bentley.

with the problem in the file retrieval queue I would probably go with a longer timeout just in case you hit some huge files.

you can boost the logging in the orchestration framework logging config file for file transfer issues and see if it gives you additional details.

oh and PID is the process ID assigned by the OS., it should change on a restart as it’s shutting down the process and starting up a new one.

the queue size should drop by 1 on a restart. Do you have it set to retry more than once on errors?

      HI Kevin,

No my previous queue was not dropping by 1 on restarting, infect it was not restarting at all,  it was hanging there with status not responding , so I had to restart orchestration service, I have already created a ticket for it

Other thing is I found a way to clear queue, some Bentley expert could validate danger side of it, but in my test it makes things working.
