    Attribute fields in Office 365

    Hi,

After a succesful integration of attributes from Projectwise to Microstation, i'm starting to look at a similar integration between Projectwise and Microsoft Word.

Creating the Attribute Exchange Rules for Microsoft Office are identical as to create Attributes for Microstation, but I haven't figured out how to create the receiving data fields in Microsoft Word.

I'm sure that it isn't complicated, but I simply can't find the dialog where I can define the data fields.

Are there someone who can point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ole Bro

      Hi,

      1. In Word select the File menu then Info

      2. Click Properties towards the right and select Advanced Properties

      3. Click the Custom tab then start filling in the fields as per your Attribute Exchange Rules (Name, Type, Value) then click Add button for each field

      4. When complete click OK then click the Back arrow to return to your Word document

      5. Select the relevant location on the Word document for the first field you want to add

      6. Select Insert menu from the ribbon and then Quick Parts then Field...

      7. in Categories select Document Information

      8. under Field names select DocProperty

      9. under Field properties select one of your Properties you created in step 3 then click the OK button

repeat steps 6 to 9 for each field

      Good luck!
