Same issue here. So far, two computers with 10.00.03.140 get the error with links from two different machines running 10.00.02.265 and 10.00.03.49. COME ON Bentley! We're CONSTANTLY troubleshooting issues…

Great and easy enough solution going forward. But it doesn't resolve existing links. Any ideas to get those links to work?

Same issue at our company and this (https://pwstorageazure.blob.core.windows.net/public/pwlinkprocessorforupdate3setup20181001.zip) did not work.

Hmm.  Works pretty well for us.  Would need more details to debug for you.

BTW, we generate a log at c:\users\user.name\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\Logs\ of the format: PWLinkProcessorForUpdate3_20181001.log.  Should show you the fixed link (with the trailing slash, if necessary) and the path to the pwc.exe.

Sorry, I didn't realize this doesn't fix previous links, it only helps new ones until I read Amber's response.

Well, it should fix previous links, too.  If you have a document URN link (from anytime) with Update 3 installed, the link will not resolve correctly.  If you install PWLinkProcessorForUpdate3, the link should resolve OK.

I installed the item you listed in the post above.  I guess I cannot be sure what the sender of links in the past have used to create their links. Me personally, I always used URL. But will use this URN moving forward.

      Hey Dave

Is there a way to get something similar for URL links?
Reading this thread I just tested and If I add a trailing backslash the files work fine.
      Not working: pw:\\server\example.pdf
      Working: pw:\\server\example.pdf\

While I can suggest to our users to use URN until the fix goes out, going through any older documents/emails will still be a pain.

Hmm.  My experience with Update 3 and URLs (pw:// style links with full folder paths) is that they resolve correctly with no issues and no need to modify. This is not what you're seeing?  I agree that using the URN is the best practice to make for a permanent link that accounts for moved files, but the URL with the full path seems to resolve correctly in my testing.  Note that I am copying the link onto my clipboard and then pasting it into an email or other document that supports hyperlinking.

I have PW Connect Edition 10.00.03.140, which in the software download site says is 3.1 release but I am also having the issues as described above. Anyone else still having problems?
