    Configuration variable adds quotes in path, disabling the Application menu addin for Inroads SS4 running Managed Workspaces

    The MW loads, but Inroads SS4 doesn't add the Application menu. Investigation points to unnecessary quotes in the INROADS_PATH variable, Unable to lock this variable with correct path. when trying to load the guidgnlib, for example the path is wrong: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\InRoads Group (SELECTseries 4)/"/dgnlib/*.dgnlib and am unable to change it. However, without a MW applied, or load from desktop it works as designed. Still looking for a solution. PW: 10.00.02.320; Inroads: 08.11.09.872

      No Kevin, that did not work. No matter what I try, Global script, modify the Inroads 3.1.cfg, doesn't work. Registry entry is correct. It's defined correctly in the Global, and in the local APPL folder, but the result is that it won't reset the variable.

      Removed and reinstalled. Now, the resulting variable is:

      CommonProgramFiles=C:\Program Files\Common Files\

      instead of:

      CommonProgramFiles=C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\

      Will not allow redefinition to the correct value. Works correctly from the desktop, and from PW using Workspace Profile. As soon as I assign any MW CSB it fails.

      Have you looked at this:

      https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/35869/project-managed-workspace-error-starting-inroads-or-geopak-in-projectwise-connect-v10-00-02-265

      It's not exactly the same but I'd try that (I just tested on my Windows 10 test machine and making those 2 changes for InRoads SS4 allowed InRoads SS4 to load, it wouldn't without them)

      If you still have problems with quote marks, check the registry entry. InRoads SS4 gets it's path from the registry, so take a look at:

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Bentley\InRoads Group(SELECTseries 4)\08.11.09

      Look for a PathName entry and if it has quote marks, remove them (my entry doesn't)

      Kevin
