How does Plant 3D integration works in ProjectWise v 10.00.03.167?

    Hello All,

I am trying to make Plant 3D 2019 work with ProjectWise. I recently found that PW connect edition v3.167 has integration module for Plant 3D but I have found no information on how to integrate both.

Can someone please help me with any documentation or guidelines?

    Thanks,

    Vishal

I have integrated Plant 3D with ProjectWise in 2 different ways. 1. Using batch file create linked folder with PW working directory. This linked folder will be used for DWGDirectory path variable in ISA_PnIDPart.xml file. ISA_PnIDpart.xml file should be moved to the same directory as linked folder. Update project.xml to update the path of ISAPnIDpart.xml file variable. You can archive orignial xml file until this setup works. This process has few drawbacks when it comes to titleblock integration with PW.

      2. Use PW Drive. It creates U:\ for us which is nothing but PW drive storage on your local machine. Every user has this drive. my PW drive will be mapped to local PW drive storage and your U drive will be mapped to your local PW drive storage. basically drive letter/path will remain the same for us. You can create P3D project in this drive using SQL server. Local SQLLite database will not work in this case. Once project is created you can push folder structure to PWE but all the xmls and DCF files need to local (U: drive) for every user. if project settings are changed by one user, others should be notified and provided with these xml files to update their U drive.
