    REFERENCE ATTACH Key-in with Files located on ProjectWise

    Can I use a keyin to attach files located on ProjectWise?

    From help;

    REFERENCE ATTACH (or RF=)[configuration_variable:]<file_name>[,model_name][,logical_name][,description][,view_name][,scale][,nesting][,on|off]

    I use this keyin regularly for files on a network. I tried to use the PW path such as in the example below;

    REFERENCE ATTACH "pw:\\wsp-aus-pw.bentley.com:company-aus-pw-17\Documents\Project\File.dgn",Default,,,,,

    ...but it doesn't work.

    Ultimately this is to be used in a batch process over 300 odd files.

      Hi Jovan, You can use PW DMS location and it will work. Example, rf=C:\Temp\d0102502\STP-501-C-SPA-M2D-16-GRN-CSW-0222.dgn,default,,,,,, In the example "C:\Temp" is set as my Projectwise…

      I know this works as I've got users doing it in batch processes. When I tested on my system it worked if I didn't put in the model name. If I put in the model name it would say it couldn't find model D in the file (always the first letter of whatever i put in, never the whole string).

      Hi Jovan,

      You can use PW DMS location and it will work.

      Example,

      rf=C:\Temp\d0102502\STP-501-C-SPA-M2D-16-GRN-CSW-0222.dgn,default,,,,,,

      In the example "C:\Temp" is set as my Projectwise working directory

      d0102502 is the dms folder name

      Hope this helps.

      Regards,

      Jaimin Patel
