    Civil 3D and cogo point

    Hello all

I'm looking for an explanation regarding Civil 3d and cogo points versus PW

I'm waiting for about 30 min and still counting for cogo points to be upgrade. This seems to stall AutoCAD in his opening process of a file

Then I realize that network send data to the integration server. Lots of small packet ( could not see other explanation why)

Is there way to get around that? Is this really and internal process of AutoCAD?

Since the client is in Vancouver and the integration in Montréall we have a caching server  in the loop. Can this has an impact?

Does having large Data shortcut dataset also impact this?

Today I had to restore a file from the server backup and for 30+ min (still counting) I see a small network activity but no file are being  modified in the working directory.

And Civil 3D is crunching data

I would really like to know what is  being exchange on the network and if this is relate to Civil 3D or PW or.......

Any IT admin ( who is also PW admin)  who knows a tool to monitor the traffic on a station so I can understand that traffic........
