Connected Project of Projects

Hi,

Within our data structure in ProjectWise, the parent folder represents a Business Unit and within this folder are the sub folders representing Projects (Work Areas). These Projects (Work Areas) are associated as CONNECTED projects. Hence; can we Associate the Business Unit parent folder so that we can produce insights for all projects (work areas) together?

Rupinder, we have found the potential of insights at a higher level (Business Unit) is maximised when the individual projects have commonality of information categorisation and components such as workflow states, common descriptions, suitability codes etc. If this is not possible, due to differing project definitions, then you may need to use BI to normalise the project information before generating Business Unit reporting.

Hi David, yes all the projects use the same environment/information structure. So we can associate the Business Unit to a connected project? Same process as for project?
