    Projectwise Audit Trail Action Name

    Ben Fullenkamp
    Ben Fullenkamp over 14 years ago
    I am creating some reports in Access based off the dms_audt table for Projectwise and while it references action code in the table, it doesn't have any obvious link to another table where it actually pulls the "Checked Out" or "Exported" etc... text and it doesn;t seem to follow a logical pattern as to what code relates to what action.  Where does the text for the action name come from and how can I link it to my query so I can show what action the users in the reports are doing?

      FWIW, you can determine the action codes from the header files delivered with the ProjectWise SDK.

      Here's what you see for the ones you mention:

      #define AADMSAT_ACT_USER_FIRST 3001
      #define AADMSAT_ACT_USER_LOGIN (AADMSAT_ACT_USER_FIRST+0)
      #define AADMSAT_ACT_USER_LOGOUT (AADMSAT_ACT_USER_FIRST+1)
      #define AADMSAT_ACT_USER_CREATE (AADMSAT_ACT_USER_FIRST+2)

      These particular ones are in the file "aadmsdef.h".

      For reports I ended up doing this is what I came up with.

      That worked great.  I just created my own table with these values and it seems to correspond perfectly.  Thanks for your help.
