    CMMC Requirements

Offline David Ross over 3 years ago

I am trying to make Projectwise V8i meet the security requirements called out in CMMC (the update to 800-171).

Can it be configured to require MFA (multifactor authentication)?

Are the files stored on the host server encrypted to a level acceptable to FIPS 140-2?

Lastly, as the files are being uploaded & downloaded, are they encrypted?

If they're using ProjectWise V8i I assume they aren't using hosted Projectwise. On premise Projectwise is NOT encrypted on the server store unless it has been added by admins, ProjectWise does not encrypt…

It is possible to configure the multifactor authentication, I have seen user doing with CONNECT Version however not sure about the V8i.

Filestore on the hosted is encrypted not sure about the protocol. We need to check this with Managed services.

      Yes, it is encrypted.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

If they're using ProjectWise V8i I assume they aren't using hosted Projectwise. On premise Projectwise is NOT encrypted on the server store unless it has been added by admins, ProjectWise does not encrypt on storage by default. Also file transfers are NOT encrypted unless this has been setup by the admins, it also is not the default.

I believe multi factor authentication only works with CONNECTION client logins, which requires CONNECT servers.
