PW Web View direct access to subfolder

I want to give an external user a link to direct access to a subfolder in ProjectWise Web View, and to not give access to the folder tree above it.

This was possible in the old Web Server, but seems not to be allowed in PW Web View. The link fails and sends you back to the top level where nothing is visible because the user has no rights there.

Can anyone confirm that this is how it is supposed to work, so that I can't use Web View for this, and I would need to publish the subfolder as a project in PW Web ?

Yes, I can access the folder if I make a link to a file inside the folder, but not if I make a link to the folder, which obviously requires access to the level above it. Thank you :)

It looks like there needs to be a way to link your current location in the directory tree rather than only an object you can select.

Although, I just tested copying the address of a location and using that instead and it works fine.  No need to have access at the parent folder.

Well, you don't need to link to a file inside the folder.  You just need to navigate to the folder and then copy the full path in the address bar.  What's screwy is that this same operation is not achievable that I can see within the PW client.
