    Hello group

Can we end the process name DmsAfpEngine.exe?

We have several of them running and we suspect this force the kernel to use large amount of ressources.

Depends on how your whole system is setup. DmsAfpEngine.exe is part of Orchestration Framework Service handling file property extraction and full text search indexing. If you shut them down on the server where they are processing files then file processing will stop. (Full text search for already indexed files and file properties already extracted will still appear in ProjectWise but not be updated)

We have a server dedicated to indexing and file processing that is not our main integration servers.

A better option might be to go into ProjectWise administrator and schedule the file processors to sleep during working hours.

      Thank you Kevin

In our effort to investigating performance issue we already have disabled at the datasource level ( properties) the index but those processes still continue to run. And i was wondering if i should kill them or restart PW service or reboot the server.....

      Thank again for the feedback

stop the ProjectWise Orchestration Framework Service. If you just kill the processes that service will respawn them.
