Anyone know the difference between the Location Backup and Location eTransmit?
Both seems to behave the same and have the same configuration? Is the name the only difference?

RE: Projectwise revit advance integration

Hi Luc,

Both those folders could be used when eTransmitting a Revit file. Their roles however differ as they should be used for different purposes.

The difference between them is that eTransmit location can have an environmental binding assigned to it. Meaning if you eTransmit a Revit file to eTransmit folder located in ProjectWise Explorer you can populate the ProjectWise Explorer document attributes with bound values from the Revit properties (such as Scale, Created By and others). As the Backup folder does not have such functionality it is intended to store the backups of the Revit documents.
