We have different defaults for different environments, and sometimes sub folders have been created with an environment that does not have the correct defaults in the parent Work Area.
This meant that Document IDs could not be created, and document creation failed with error 58960. In previous versions of PW Explorer documents could be created without a document ID by using the No Wizard option, but this is no longer possible in version 10.0.3.434. ( The No wizard option returns the same error as the Wizard )
Is this a deliberate change ? Is there any work around ?
We stopped using Environment specific defaults some years ago, but there are still many folders where this is an issue. We cannot change the environment where folders contain documents, and change the defaults will start new number series in the document codes.
Do you mean you don't see the No Wizard option, or when you pick No Wizard you still get the error?
when I pick No Wizard I still get the error
Ah, unless somebody else has an answer here you'll probably have to file a service request with Bentley. I don't have any environments set up with document coding that I can test with.
