ICS for PDF - Microstation SELECTSeries and CONNECT Print Engines

    Hello all,

Problem: I am attempting to have both Microstation SELECTSeries and CONNECT print engines available on our ICS server. I have configured MS CONNECT as the default print engine, however we have application types that will still refer to SELECTSeries Microstation for legacy projects. I would like to print SELECTSeries files with SELECTSeries and CONNECT with CONNECT. It seems that regardless of the Microstation application type on the document, MS Connect is the print engine that gets used on the ICS Server. Is it possible to utilize both MS print engines on ICS for PDF? We are on 10.00.03.299.

    Thanks,
    Tim..

I think this is what you're looking for:

I-model composition server and microstation connect & v8i - Content Publishing Forum - Content Publishing - Bentley Communities

Basically setup an application in PW that only opens MicroStation V8i assign the V8i files to that application and Renditions should use V8i engine on the server.

If you go to this message:

ProjectWise Open document with dialog box - Content Management Forum - Content Management - Bentley Communities

Towards the end of the thread i posted a table showing the Program Class name you can use to create an application that only opens MicroStation v8i SS10 (or SS4).
