    MS_SERVER cleared using PW

    Hi

    I am running MicroStation Connect updt. 16 and ProjectWise Explorer 10.00.03.434.

    I am having trouble connecting to a MS Access database when I have started MicroStation through ProjectWise.

    When I start MicroStation outside PW I can connect fine.

    Through PW the variable MS_SERVER is cleared. This happen when I press the Browse icon (the three dots) in the connect to database settings dialog.

    Before trying to connect:

    Then pressing Browse

    The result:

    I don't even get to browse for the ODBC name.

    The ODBC datasource is a 64 bit connection.

    Any other there have experienced something like this?

      SR 7000954139, describing that problem. The solution was:

      The key variable that was going undefined by ProjectWise was_USTN_DATABASE. In my network configuration files that open our ProjectWise environment,I added the following:
      _USTN_DATABASE = $(MSDIR)config\database\

      it might be that you also need to add MS_MDLAPPS < $(MSDIR)config\mdlapps\

      When you have ProjectWise managed workspace, just add these variables to the Global CSB.
