How to Adjust Dash Scale of Line Styles when Using Renditions

I am using "create renditions" to create pdf files, using an ics server on ProjectWise. I usually use a .plt file to adjust the dash scale of the linestyles 1-7 on the pdf, but how would I adjust it when using renditions? There is a design script and a pen table being used for the rendition profile.

I think the closest equivalent to the .plt line style run length definitions would be the "style_(n)" design script assignment keywords. Search for "style_n" in this doc article: https://docs.bentley.com…

I think the closest equivalent to the .plt line style run length definitions would be the "style_(n)" design script assignment keywords.  Search for "style_n" in this doc article: https://docs.bentley.com/LiveContent/web/MicroStation%20Help-v19/en/GUID-F84A1B3C-EB9F-8290-35F6-CC0762896755.html

To replicate the .plt functionality, you only need one set of "style_1", "style_2", ..., "style_7" assignments in the design script.  The "if then else" logic shown in the documentation example is not typical.

If your design script already has a "units" assignment, make sure to define the line style on/off patterns in those units.  Otherwise, put a "units" assignment at the top of the design script using whatever value is most convenient to you, then define the on/off lengths using those same units.  I could be wrong, but I don't think the design script supports multiple "units" assignments with different values.  Set the units at the start of the file then use them for everything in script.  Since they are global, the style_1, etc. assignment keywords can go at the top right after setting the units.

If your next question is how to replicate the weight-to-width assignments in the .plt file, that can be done in a design script using the "pen_width_00", "pen_width_01", ..., "pen_width_31" assignment keywords.  Same story with the units.

Thank you so much! That was exactly the help I needed. I added the If/Then for the linestyle to my design script and with a little tweaking was able to get the pdf looking the way I needed it.
