    Adding a custom variable

Hi.  I'm moving some customer builds into Projectwise.   The workset .cfg file creates some custom variables.  They are for things like _PROJ_TITLEBLOCK which stores the name of the project title block etc, which then get used in macros.  However, the custom variable isn't appearing in the config variables when Microstation starts, so the macros give errors.  I tried adding them to a config block, but they still didn't come through.

    Any help appreciated.

I set tons of custom variables in CSBs and haven't had an issue. Do you have the _USTN_DISPLAYALLCFGVARS = 1 variable set? If you don't, I believe Microstation hides any variable that starts with a _ in the configuration dialog.  However that wouldn't prevent a macro from accessing that variable. Assuming this is Microstation Connect you can key in Show Configuration and it will open a text file with all the current variables (hidden or not I believe).

Which leads me to think maybe you misspelled the variable, or maybe the macro expects another variable as well and that is what is missing?

All those _BASIC_* variables in my CSB above work fine, i didn't have to do anything special to create them or use them.
