    Where is the Federated Identify Stored in PW Database?

    We are in the process of moving all of our Logical Accounts to federated. The federation process for our domain is complete, but we have alot of gaps within our current email addresses within ProjectWise Admin.

    I'm wanting to know where the Federated Identify is stored so I can write an SQL Query to help us with this process. I have looked through the Database (ours is locally hosted) but i cant seem to find these values.

    Thanks,

      looks like dms_identity table, o_idname column is the ims account email address. You can also get this info via powershell

      I found the answer through a bit of experimenting, dms_user o_usertype S= Federated D= Logical

      Thanks Kevin! Exactly what i was after.

      On another note, is there a way to find out the Security type in the Database? We have a few users who have an Federated Identity but security type as Logical. I want to change this but need to identify who to change

      A crude PowerShell option Rob :)

      New-PWLogin -UseGui
      Get-PWUser | Export-CSV -path "c:\temp\test1_users.csv"
      Close-PWConnection

      and possibly.......

      New-PWLogin -UseGui
      Get-PWUserByMatch -Email '*ACME.com' | Convert-PWUserToFederated
      Close-PWConnection

      Cheers

      Ben

      Thanks Ben. This option wont work for us unfortunately. By converting the users it terminates their current Datasource Connection so i have to plan in the change. We also have other things we're trying to cleanup at the same time within Bentleys Online system.

      Being able to easily identify which security type a user has through SQL would be ideal so i can work out which users to focus my efforts on.

      I found the answer through a bit of experimenting,

      dms_user

      o_usertype

      S= Federated
      D= Logical
