Security is very important, I understand your point, I bought an antivirus myself and my laptop became more efficient. So do not neglect the protection of your device and buy antivirus on which you need, so that in the future do not go to the repair shop or tear down Windows.

I've never looked into it. Probably have to raise that with Bentley.

      Hi.

We are actualy tracking where PW Drive write...

It seem to write not only in C:\Users\myname\Projectwise,

PW Drive write lot of files also in :

      C:\Users\btran\AppData\LocalLow

      C:\Users\btran\AppData\Roaming\projectwise-drive

      C:\Users\btran\AppData\Local\Bentley

      C:\Users\btran\AppData\Local\Temp\projectwise-drive

      Antivirus access very often to

Have you a list of all folder used by PW Drive ?

      Best regards:

ProjectWise Drive puts stub files on your machine and only populates with the real file from the cloud when accessed. Most likely the anti-virus checking is triggering ProjectWise drive to download all the files and causing the freeze. OneDrive works this way as well so I'm not sure how Trend Micro handles the scenario there. Not sure why excluding the folder doesn't stop the issue, maybe Trend Micro doesn't like wildcards in the middle of a path?

As to who is responsible to fix, not sure if Bentley didn't implement something for AV where OneDrive did, or if this is a Trend Micro issue.

As for changing the location of ProjectWise drive, administrators can change this at https://projectwise365.bentley.com

      Documentation:

Enterprise Administration > ProjectWise Drive (bentley.com)

I would be careful giving everybody the same path if you have computers where multiple people login at the same time, however you could re-arrange it so the username is last so the exclusion works better. for example: c:\ProjectWiseDrive\%Username% would still give each user their own drive location but you can just exclude c:\ProjectWiseDrive
