ProjectWise will only open one AutoCad Drawing in a session from Explorer

    Good Morning All,

Having a strange issue with a single user with ProjectWise and AutoCad 2020. The user can only open a single drawing in a session from PW Explorer (10.00.03.453). When double-clicking another drawing to open it is forcing a check in of the open drawing before it will allow the next to open. They can open a second drawing in another session with the shift key but not really what we want to do. Looked around and haven't found a setting that would explain this behavior. Tried the SDI value to 0 which will allow multiple drawings to open via the AutoCad menu but again not with a double click. Verified that the double click action is set to default for the user.

    Thanks in advance..

Have you tried using the Shift button whilst clicking in PWE. This would open another session of AutoCAD. Other option, properly integrated AutoCAD and open the file from within AutoCAD.

Benno, yes are able to use those methods for opening multiple dwgs. It is the double click or open directly from PW Explorer option that is the issue in this case. Opening multilple dwgs by simply double-clicking works for us typically.

      Thanks..
