    Hello

In my continue effort  to get skill at manipulating the Environments...

I wanted to add an attribute to an exciting document code.

I create the necessary attribute (FI_Activity_Code) under the same environment as all the other attributes that compose the Document Code and matching other attributes properties. Like Vchar etc....

I edit the Document Code definition and add this new attributes at step one and move to the end of the  wizard to move up that new attribute to its position.

When I click Finish i get this....

I'm not sure what are those required fields???

      Hi Luc,

When you create a new attribute, it will be a column in the Environment Table. It means that you have created a empty column (FI_Activity_Code) for all documents that have a sheet (row in this table) in this Env.

You have two ways to work with this:

      1. You can check (in document code) to "Allow empty value" for this attribute.

      2. Before add this to your Document Code, make a search for all documents in this environment and change the value of this attribute (FI_Activity_Code) for, i.e, "-". Then add the attribute as you need in you Document Code. And you don't need to check the option to allow empty value.

      I hope it helps!
