    Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 All,

I’m pleased to announce that the ProjectWise V8i (SELECTseries 3) Integration Module for 32-bit Microsoft Office 2010 is now commercially available on SELECTservices Downloads/MySELECT CD.   The ProjectWise V8i (SELECTseries 3) Integration Module for 32-bit Microsoft Office 2010 provides integration for Microsoft Office 2010 with ProjectWise.  The module supports the 32-bit version of Microsoft Office 2010 on both 32 and 64-bit operating systems.  This release supports ProjectWise integration for the Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 2010 - support for Visio and Project 2010 is not included in this release.

The ProjectWise V8i (SELECTseries 3) Integration Module for 32-bit Microsoft Office 2010 is delivered as an “add-in” to ProjectWise Explorer V8i (SELECTseries 3), and requires no server or licensing changes. The module simply requires a ProjectWise Passport for usage, which is needed by ProjectWise Explorer, a requirement for the ProjectWise V8i (SELECTseries 3) Integration Module for 32-bit Microsoft Office 2010.

For additional information on the ProjectWise V8i (SELECTseries 3) Integration Module for 32-bit Microsoft Office 2010, please review the readme delivered with the module.

Mark, can you clarify the licensing piece?

The "add-in" module requires no licensing changes, yet the module requires a Passport.  Does this mean it pulls a second Passport or it uses the same Passport that ProjectWise accesses?

If it uses the same Passport (and therefore has no true bearing on licensing requirements), couldn't you have just skipped the whole licensing paragraph?  I think there's something here I'm not picking up on.

At least you didn't completely confuse the issue by mentioning a Bentley Visa...

One Passport is all that is ever needed - since this module requires ProjectWise Explorer, which requires a ProjectWise Passport, the existing Passport covers the usage of this module.

      HTH

Mark, can I run ProjectWise SS3 clients with this add-in module on SS1 servers?

      Scott,

Yes, (SELECTseries 3) ProjectWise Explorer is compatible with (SELECTseries 1) Integration Servers. This included any add-ins to the (SELECTseries 3) Explorer.

      HTH,

      John

      Running SS1 server.

I just uninstalled SS1, installed SS3 and then the add-in.  Everything works great!  Thanks to everyone that made this happen.  I'm going to have some happy people here at WSDOT.
