How to turn off Datasource prompt in AutoCAD?

    Hi All,

I searched high and low for an answer to this, but no luck. We installed PW Explorer on several PCs for use on a project with MicroStation. Unfortunately, PW has ingratiated itself with AutoCAD 2010/2011 as well, causing confusion and delay (It really should ask politely upon install which applications it is to be associated with, not surprise everyone).

We can turn off the Datasource prompt in MicroStation using -wsProjectWise_Integration=1 on the command line. What is the equivalent in AutoCAD? And not just turn off the Datasource prompt, but remove the ProjectWise tab and any other remnants as well.

    TIA,

    LOR

When you are installing the ProjectWise Client, select Custom Install and there is Custom Setup a page that shows what is being installed in tree form. If you expand the idesktop integration branch, then expand the AutoCAD branch you can select specifically which AutoCAD version to integrate. You can open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features and uninstall the integration that you don't wish to use.

IN the registry you can set a key that will stop ProjectWise from redefining the commands. You can also key in DMSOFF at the commandline to disable integration.

But if you truly do not want any of the integration pieces the best thing is to uninstall integration for that version and then repair AutoCAD 2010.
