Disable prompt for MicroStation reload without reloading

My company uses a custom workspace in MicroStation V8i from our states department of transportation. We have this workspace applied to most of the project folders that we have in ProjectWise. I have a user that is switching between several folders and drawings within those folders in a project with this workspace applied to it. If she's switching between two drawings in the same folder, MicroStation/ProjectWise simply prompts for a check-in/update/free, and once something is chosen there, it loads the selected file in the same session of MicroStation. However, when this user changes to one of the other folders and loads a drawing from there, she receives a prompt whether or not to reload MicroStation. She'd like to get rid of this prompt, but not restart MicroStation. I'm aware of the variable "_MCM_RELOAD_WORKSPACE" that you can define in ProjectWise's "mcm.user.cfg", however, the only option without the prompt, restarts MicroStation. I guess there could be two solutions I'm looking for here: switch between files in different folders but with the same workspace without restarting MicroStation, or find some kind of option that allows us to automatically select "No" on the prompt to reload MicroStation. Any help or input would be most appreciated.

      Hi BennyB,

What version of ProjectWise and MicroStation are you using? (08.11.11.xxx)

What I would like to do is get a msdebug log from you to see what is going on.

What I need for you to do is this: follow the steps below. Once you do this the first time i want you to copy the file and rename the msdebug.txt to file1.txt and the second pass i want you to rename it to file2.txt. If you want to walk through this together please let me know.

      1. In ProjectWise Explorer  navigate to Tools --> Associations --> Programs

      2. In the Program Associations windows click on the Select an association view: drop down and select 'User Associations' (SC1)

      SC1

      3. Scroll down to MicroStation and expand open and then expand Bentley.MicroStation.Application..... Double click on 'Command Line Argument' in the window type         -debug and click OK (SC2)

      SC2

      • If you DO NOT have an user association then please create one by right clicking on 'Open' and clicking on 'Add Association' when prompted to select an application, select MicroStation; When you do so make sure Bentley.MicroStation.Application is seen in the field; example below (SC3)

      SC3

      4. Open the file and a command window will open (SC4) once this command windows dismisses it will create a .txt file that will have the output of what I need.
The file get's created in C:\Users\<USER.NAME>\AppData\Local\Temp file is called msdebug.txt

      SC4
