    FetchFiles cannot read Swedish.. discuss!

I have tried to configure fetchfiles to fetch files from a datasource on a Swedish project, however, the process fails because fetchfiles cannot read the path which includes Häggvik in one of the folders in the path I am trying to recurse. Fetchfiles reads it as H??ggvik, and therefore it cannot be found, so fetchfiles fails to fetch any files!

Apart from changing the folder name, is it possible to get fetchfiles to read the folder description instead?  Or would this involve creating a fetchfile user that has the 'Use Descriptions' setting switched on?

Does fetchfiles work on non-english servers at all?

    Many thanks,

Graham, are you passing this folder value via the command line, or a FetchFiles config file ?

Mike, I'm using a config file with the following:

      -d <server>:<datasource>

      -v

      -u <pw_user>

      -p <pw_password>

      -w E:\FetchFiles\WorkingDir

      -r "\Contracts\Häggvik\A - Architecture\"

Graham, this is a bug in FetchFiles, we are not properly opening up the config file for Unicode characters. Defect 84895 has been filed.

Thanks Mike.  I've just tried it as a pure command line call, but same issue.

The Command Line was not parsing the path correctly either, and I have established that it is due to the Code Page.  So I have created a batch file and changed the Code Page for the session as follows:

      chcp 1252

      fetchfiles -d <server>:<datasource> -u pwadmin -p <password> -w E:\FetchFiles\WorkingDir -v -r "\Contracts\Häggvik\A - Architecture\"
