    MicroStation Managed WS in PW

    Hi All,

I'm just starting down the PW path......

I have imported a managed WS. I read in older documentation I could set it up so that the WS is copied to the users local drive when they open a model or drawing.

Can someone please point me in the right direction to get this going in SS4 please?

    Thanks in advance.

    Can

      Morning!

Assuming that you've got the workspace imported correctly.. adding it to a project/folder is rather simple.

Simple example: You want to add that workspace at the project level.

Right click the project folder, select the 'Workspace' tab, double click the level in which your workspace was defined (Project in my case), select your workspace, and press Ok.

      It's really that simple.

To test - place a dgn in one of the child folder of the project, open it up.. and you should see the dialog for gathering workspace files etc.

Easy as pie (though I don't think I've ever baked a pie?)

      Enjoy,

      Paul

Paul, many thanks for getting back to me. I believe I have my workspace imported properly.

I'm however no seeing the options you are. Am I even in the right spot ? Sorry, very new to PW so thanks for the patience.

      Ben,

You just need to change the workspace "Type" to "Managed".. then your workspace config block will show up.

      Hope that helps,

      Paul
