    Questions about New-PWLogin...

    • Did this replace Open-PWConnection? Unclear, guessing yes since the function cannot be found and is not recognized.
    • Trying to use New-PWLogin, I get denied a connection. If I turn on "UseGui" and check SSO on the login dialog, I get the error shown below.

    Last Error 58502

    Cannot login to the datasource

    User is not an administrator.

    • Are only PW Admins able to make a connection to the PW Datasource using the PowerShell functions?

      Both are still supported as far as I know. Open-PWConnection * comes with PWPS module in PW Administrator * does not require admin New-PWLogin * comes with PWPS_DAB * requires admin

      Open-PWConnection

      * comes with PWPS module in PW Administrator

      * does not require admin

      New-PWLogin

      * comes with PWPS_DAB

      * requires admin

      If you are not seeing Open-PWConnection, chances are the PWPS module has not been installed. It is available via the Connect Edition of the ProjectWise Administrator.  Using New-PWLogin requires that the user account is a member of the administrator group.

      Got this, see a similar reply I did moments ago in another thread.

      Do you have a command line exe install for "pwadm100002265en.exe" to just get that PWPS portion from the PW Admin Installer?

      I need to put the PWPS umbrella on multiple machines so I can have user driven scripts with SSO pass-thru to update given files based on a scripted location.

      Manually installing everything on multiple machines is going a pain...the "Windows Management Framework", the PWPS_DAB and security bypasses, the PW Admin PWPS, etc... lots of manual bits to get a machine going with PWPS in general...
