Is anyone successfully using the Deliverables Management cmdlets to extract information?

    G'day all,

I'm trying to use any of the cmdlets to extract outgoing transmittals and subsequently build a report of this information, however, I can't seem to get any of the cmdlets to work.

Every single PWDM cmdlet comes back with Method not found: 'BTSTypes.Operations BTSTypes.Repository.get_Operations()'.

I've looked at the other posts, like this one https://communities.bentley.com/products/projectwise/content_management/f/projectwise-powershell-extensions-forum/187010/get-pwdmincomingsubmittals-fails-with-missingmethodexception/548922#548922 Although it says to ensure you're on a particular version of DM, which I am, it doesn't mention anything else that may be the cause. Nor can I find any posts in the communities where someone has used these. Does anyone have any example working code they could share?

I'm using PWPS_DAB 1.20.2.0 and can run other functions fine. Our Connected project is on-premise, I assume that shouldn't matter?

I can see from the statistics, people are using these cmds, although maybe not as much for submittals and transmittals as I expected

    Get-PWDMIncomingRFIs -- 1354880
    Get-PWDMIncomingRFIsWithProperties - 1345840
    Get-PWDMIncomingSubmittals - 1513
    Get-PWDMOutgoingRFIs - 770785
    Get-PWDMOutgoingTransmittals - 2196

    Cheers,

    Brent

We support PWDM version 10.6.0.242 for the PWPS_DAB Deliverables Management cmdlets.

It seems that you are experiencing issues with the PWPS_DAB (ProjectWise PowerShell Extensions) module and specifically with the PWDM (ProjectWise Document Management) cmdlets. The error message you provided suggests that there is a missing method in the BTSTypes.Repository class.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:

      1. Ensure that the version of the PWPS_DAB module you are using is compatible with your version of ProjectWise Document Management. Double-check the compatibility matrix or documentation provided by Bentley Systems to confirm that the versions are compatible.

      2. If you are using an older version of the PWPS_DAB module, try updating it to the latest version available. You can do this by running the following command in an elevated PowerShell session: Update-Module -Name PWPS_DAB

      3. Some PowerShell modules have dependencies on other modules or assemblies. Make sure that all the required dependencies for PWPS_DAB are installed and up to date.

      4. Ensure that the PWPS_DAB module is installed correctly. You can run the following command to check the installed version: Get-Module -Name PWPS_DAB -ListAvailable

      5. Run the following command to check if the required assemblies are loaded properly: Get-LoadedAssemblies | Where-Object { $_.FullName -like '*BTSTypes*' }

      6. If the issue persists, consider posting your question in the Bentley Communities forum or contacting Bentley Systems support. They may have more specific insights or troubleshooting steps for your particular environment.

Regarding the on-premise nature of your Connected project, it should not affect the ability to use the PWPS_DAB module, as it is designed to work with on-premise installations of ProjectWise and with LinkedIn Sales Navigator features.

While the Insights for DM improve, is there any thoughts around developing additional export options via PowerShell?

Following on from Brent's request to get the cmdlets working for extracting DM data, are there any plans for developing these in order to extract more information? Can it include the options to extract information (data/responses etc...) regarding the contents of each transmittal - much like the detail that is available as part of the manual Excel extraction?

      Thanks
