    Creating New Work Area: Template Project not found

    Offline Bhanu Chauhan over 1 year ago

    Recently I switched to a new PC and got PWPS_DAB Version 1.30.13.0 installed. Now when I'm running my New Work Area creation script, it throws a warning like below.

    Security Protocol now set to TLS 1.2
    PWPS_DAB Version is 1.30.13.0
    This is a 64-bit process.
    WARNING: Template project '01 - Civil & Structures (CS)\111-NewTemplate' not found
    WARNING: Creation of new project in temporary folder failed 0

    $data = Get-TablesFromXLSXWorkbook -InputFileName "Complete Path Here\WorkAreaCreation.xlsx"

        foreach($row in $data.Rows)
        {
            $WorkAreaProperties = @{
            PROJECT_ProjectNo = $row.ProjectNo
            PROJECT_ProjectName = $row.ProjectName
            PROJECT_Client_Name = $row.ProjectClientName
            PROJECT_Project_Director = $row.ProjectDirector
            PROJECT_Project_Manager = $row.ProjectManager
            }

        #Using splat for readability.

        $Splat_NewWorkArea = @{
            TemplateName = $row.Template
            StorageArea = $row.StorageArea
            ProjectProperties = $WorkAreaProperties
            DoNotCopyDocuments = $true
            }

        $Splat_NewWorkArea.NewFolderPath = $row.NewWorkAreaPath

        $WorkArea = New-PWRichProject @Splat_NewWorkArea -Verbose

    The Excel file looks like this. It was working fine before.

    Both the ProjectWise Explorer and ProjectWise Administrator CONNECT edition have version 10.00.03.434.

      Oops, that was my bad! I check the script again and it had a line at the top that logs into a different data source. Thanks anyway.

      Hello Bhanu,

      Can you confirm that the Template Project Path has not changed in any way? Also, can you check to see if the ProjectWise Template Folder Path (any Folder in the Path) contains "long dashes" in the Name? I've experienced issues with Folders containing these special characters, namely when referencing them via Excel, Outlook (Message) or Word. You may want to check to see if the Template Project Path contains "short dashes" while the Excel Spreadsheet may contain "long dashes" (it is difficult to tell by the posted screen capture).
